I had the privilege of attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony at Midway Elementary yesterday. Our community in Forsyth always supports education, as seen by the large number of parents and students in attendance at this ribbon-cutting ceremony. The Education Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (E-SPLOST) made the construction of this new school possible. I take pride in having chaired the E-SPLOST committee in 2017 prior to my involvement in politics, which played a crucial role in funding this school. Thanks to the unwavering support from our community, we now have this new school without incurring any debt. With our exceptional school system and this new facility, Forsyth is well-positioned to provide outstanding education for our youth as our community continues to grow.
